There will be a Skype Live Interview and Q&A session with Tiffany Miranda, founder of Girls Make Beats. DIGIT student Allison Lourens will be conducting this session.

Tiffany Miranda is a singer-songwriter, music producer, and recording engineer based in Miami.  She has appeared on American Idol and X Factor and worked with artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, French Montana, TI, Rick Ross, and Fat Joe.  In 2012, Miranda founded the nonprofit organization, Girls Make Beats, which aims to empower girls by expanding the female presence of DJs, music producers, and audio engineers in the music industry.  Girls Make Beats hosts summer camps and seminars that help girls (ages 7-18) gain experience using professional recording equipment and software.  Many of the participants secure internships at recording studios, complete Pro Tools certification courses, and build valuable connections within the music industry.
